Wudang netizens pray for Spring Festival

Wudang Mountains in Shiyan, Hubei province, recently launched a Spring Festival praying activity with the hope of ushering in a prosperous new year. Organized on the internet, the praying activity attracted a host of netizens, and within two days, as many as 30,000 people had signed up online to the praying ceremony, including many web celebrities.

The praying ceremony will be held in the Wudang Mountains, a Taoist holy place and one of the World Cultural Heritage sites. In addition, Wudang will host a Taoism praying dharma ceremony.

"Culture is the development base of a country," said WongPok, the initiator of the Spring Festival pray, "By hosting this activity, traditional Wudang culture will be further popularized."
