Drunk driving official expelled from Party

An official with the local State Tax Bureau in Fuzhou city, Fujian province, was deprived of his Communist Party of China membership after being caught up in a recent drunk-driving case, Fuzhou Daily reported on Dec 30.
The official, surnamed Huang, who was a deputy director of the Bureau, was seized by the traffic police after failing the sobriety test, said the municipal disciplinary watchdog who did not give the specific date of the case.
The results showed he contained more than 140 mg of alcohol in every 100 ml of his blood, the threshold of drunk driving in China.
Huang was given a two-month sentence with a two-month probation, and fined 10,000 yuan.
