Huocheng government funds college students

The government of Huocheng county in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region will allocate 5.52 million yuan ($880,000) in funding to students from impoverished families who study at inland colleges or universities in 2015.

The fund accounts for 44 percent of the Huocheng's 12.52 million yuan cadres and talent training project budget.

The government made the decision based on a notice published by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance about funding the Xinjiang students who study in inland colleges and universities.
