Karamay Youmiao Public Interest Group published its expenditure of donations on all the ten charitable programs at its annual meeting on Dec 28.
The ten programs were valued at 33,000 yuan ($5,300), half of which went to support dropout students and half went to disaster mitigation and relief.
"This is the first time that we have published the expenditure details. From 2015, we will keep the information transparent, letting volunteers and donating enterprises know where the money goes and so improve the supervision," said Chu Zhihan, director of the Youmiao Group.
The goal of Youmiao Group is to help poor families and the disadvantaged. In 2015, the group planned to build an elementary school in a poor mountainous area in Karamay. "We hope more people can join us and contribute more to those in need," Chu said.
