Zhong Tai Company signed a contract with Zhou Haibing E-commerce Company recently, marking cooperation between the two sides. The contract will allow the two sides to sell beef and lamb produced in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to the inland market, according to Karamay Daily.
As general manager of Zhou Haibing E-commerce Company and senior researcher of Ali E-commerce Platform, Zhou Haibing has been focusing on the research of e-commerce marketing for years.
The majority of domestically-reared beef and lamb in China is produced in Inner Mongolia, while imported meat is generally from Australia, according to Zhou. "However, the market investigation and customer feedback shows that the lamb and beef from Xinjiang is the best," Zhou added.
Due to the remoteness of Xinjiang in relation to most other provinces in China, there is currently no e-commerce enterprise specifically selling meat from there. Following the signing of the contract by Zhong Tai and Zhou Haibing, meat products from the region will be able to be purchased from Alibaba's online shopping outlet, Tmall.
