Karamay Youth Committee held its first winter sports meet at the Longshan Ski Resort in Karamay city, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on Jan 15 with more than 900 local young people participating.

The participants were all employees of local enterprises and institutions.

The event featured sports competitions on ice, including tug-of-war, cycling race and dragon-boat racing.

After two hours' competition, the teams of Karamay Statistics Company, Baikouquan Oil Factory and Karamay No 1 Oil Company won the top prizes.
