Tajikistan, Russia seek opportunities in Urumqi tourist distributing center

Tajikistan and Russian delegations visited the Economic and Technological Development Zone, Urumqi city, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Nov 30 to seek cooperative opportunities with Chinese counterparts in Urumqi's tourist distributing center.
The delegations visited a viewing platform at a high-speed railway station and image exhibition hall and delegates learned general information about the Urumqi's Silk Road Economic Belt Tourist Distributing Center.

The Silk Road Economic Belt Tourist Distributing Center provides tourism information and logistics service for the Xinjiang and 44 countries along the Silk Road.
A symposium was held after the tour where the delegates discussing settlement of businesses in the Urumqi Silk Road Economic Belt Tourist Distributing Center.
The chairman of the Tajikistan Tourism Association said, "We hope more Tajikistan enterprises will settle in Urumqi’s tourist distributing center. Tajikistan is a friendly neighbor for China. The two countries established a strategic partnership in 2013, with cooperation in various fields seeing good momentum."

The assistant mayor of Volgograd, Russia remarked that the visit helped her to further understand the distributing center and she hoped to help Russian enterprises to enter the center.
The Tajikistan and Russian businesses' investment was expected to drive tourism cooperation between China and different countries and promote the implementation of the Silk Road Economic Belt strategy in Xinjiang, said Song Jiancheng, the manager of Xinjiang Tourism Investment Management, the contractor of the center.
