The Bowang Liuyou Kindergarten in Urumqi city, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region decided to cut 200 yuan ($30.54) of monthly administrative fees for more than 200 children beginning February 2016.
The parents of all the children in the kindergarten are employed by the Xinjiang Bayi Iron and Steel Co; the new measure was made to reduce their burden.
The regulation has helped parents in many ways. Zhao Yu, a mother, said that a partial management fee waiver relieved her financial pressure since she has stayed at home for two months due to the company's poor performance.
The kindergarten has cut the monthly management fee from 600 yuan to 400 yuan for one child, a yearly exemption of 360,000 yuan, and will cover the reduced fees, said Ma Xiaoshan, administrative director of the kindergarten.
In order to support children from low income families, the community service center also bought books and stationery for the kindergarten.
