Jiangsu Jinsheng Group on Sunday held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Intelligent Machine Industrial Park in the Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Officials and Party leaders from various government bodies attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the park on the day. The park aims to fill a gap in the manufacturing industry in the Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region.
According to the company’s chief executive officer, Pan Xueping, Jinsheng has invested 600 million yuan ($9 million) in the project, which, when completed, will generate an annual turnover of three billion yuan ($450 million). When finished, the park will provide facilities to produce machine tools, industrial robots, textiles and 3D printing, and will apply the Internet Plus strategy wherever possible.
The project is part of a manufacturing plan released by authorities in the autonomous region in June. The plan is formulated within the framework of Made in China 2025, an initiative of the State Council aimed at improving the country’s manufacturing capabilities.
The project is expected to scale up and upgrade the region’s manufacturing industry by introducing cutting-edge technologies and contributing to various industrial sectors in the region.
