An exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region concluded in Urumqi on Nov 30.
The exhibition opened simultaneously in Beijing and Xinjiang in September and was designed to show the region’s development over the past 60 years. Approximately 3,000 pictures were displayed, together with documentaries, models and real items. Over 1.2 million visited the exhibition while it was open.
