Seven of Kunming’s public parks will host various activities from Oct 1 to 7 to celebrate the National Day, Kunming Daily reported.
The seven parks will have favorable prices during the national day holiday. Xihua Park will be free, while Daguan Park, Kunming Zoon, Jindian Park, Black Dragon Pond Park, Xunhua Temple Park, and Suburb Park will offer a 20 percent discount.
Xihua Park will focus on “Chinese Traditional Culture” during the National Day Holiday. Activities will include tea culture, traditional etiquette, and traditional singing and dancing. The park hopes visitors will experience traditional Chinese culture through interesting games and performances.
In Suburb Park, kids will be able to make handicrafts using fallen leaves. Activities such as cycling will also be available at the park.
In Kunming Zoo, several kinds of animals will have their debut during the holiday, such as Argali and Fennec Fox. The Zoo will also host a Jackstraw Festival and display straw models of an elephant, a peacock and red pandas.
Daguan Park will host its 21st chrysanthemum show during the holiday with over 60,000 pots of flowers to view. The park will also host a street dance competition from Oct 4 to 7, an event dance lovers must not miss.
