Yunnan Gold and Mining Group (YGMG), founded in August 2001, is the largest gold manufacturing enterprise in Yunnan province. Its scope includes mineral resource exploration, mining, mineral smelting and the selling of mineral products and mining rights. YGMG holds a third of Yunnan's gold reserves and its production accounts for more than half of the total production in the province.
The Group has 34 subsidiaries, holding companies, and joint-stock companies under its command and owns more than 10 metal mines.
From 2009 to 2013, YGMG's gross revenue reached 37.5 billion yuan ($6.04 billion). The gross value of assets exceeded 10.6 billion yuan ($1.71 billion). So far, YGMG ranks 8th among Chinese gold enterprises and ranks 19th among the top hundred enterprises in Yunnan.
