Li Zhongbao, deputy president of the China Academy of Space Technology, came to the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone for a visit. The administrative committee of the zone and CAST have agreed on further cooperation and decided to hold monthly conferences or consultations.
The two sides have been planning to cooperate on space breeding, solar thermal energy, green technology, and satellite applications. Li therefore investigated the projects concerning these fields in the zone, including China Southern Power Grid's distributed photovoltaic power generation project, the water science park, and Yupuhanquan Wetland Park.
CAST is mastering advanced space technologies while the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone possesses a great climate and resource superiority. The cooperation between the two will promote the development of both sides which will hold consultations once a month to keep a close cooperative relationship and work together on aerospace, science and technology projects.
Directors of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone promised that the zone would make the best investment environment and provide CAST with superior services to advance a win-win cooperation.
