Kunming Hi-Tech Zone signs co-op contracts of 2.7b yuan in Guangdong

Wang Minzheng, director of the administrative committee of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, led a delegation to Shenzhen and Guangzhou in Guangdong province from Oct 9 to Oct 12 to attend the Tenth Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation & Development Forum and Economic & Trade Fair and take part in the Yunnan-Guangdong Cooperation Symposium.

The delegation from the Zone gained a lot at the Forum and Fair. First, they attracted large amounts of investments: the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone signed five cooperation project contracts, the amount of which totaled over 2.7 billion yuan ($448 million).
Second, the Zone deepened cooperation with enterprises that have already been partners. During their four-day-long stay in Guangdong, Wang led the delegation to visit cooperative enterprises, give brief outlines about the operation of the cooperative projects and invite directors of the enterprises to visit the Zone and enhance cooperation.

Third, the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone stood out at the Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation & Development Forum. The delegation successfully advised on the good investment environment and high quality services of the Zone, which was essential for future cooperation with enterprises in the Pan-PRD region and the economic development of Kunming and Yunnan.
