The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone held an online interview on their Sina Weibo, the Twitter-like micro-blogging service, at 10:00 am on Oct 22 to communicate with local residents and enterprises in the Zone.

During the one-hour interview, the micro-blog users asked 42 questions of which 30 were answered. The questions were mainly about new measures taken by the Zone to improve its services and better the investment environment. The online interview gained net users’ attention and increased the popularity of the official micro-blog account of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone. At the end of the day, the followers of the account had exceeded 14,000.

The online interview was aimed at better advertising the superior services and environment in the Zone using new media. Also, net users can directly ask questions, give advice, and make complaints to the official micro-blog account and the account manager will report them to relevant departments to deal with the problems.
