A delegation from the Indian state of West Bengal visited the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone on Nov 3, accompanied by Zhao Xiaoping, vice-director of the administrative committee of the Zone.

The leader of the Indian delegation, Rajiva Sinha said that they came to the Zone with the hope of increasing trade between China and India and especially enhancing cooperation with Kunming in Yunnan province, based on the deep friendship between the two countries. He said India was more than willing to help enterprises in the Zone to expand into the Indian market. Also, Sinha invited the Zone to attend the 2015 World Business Summit in Calcutta, India in January in 2015.

Wang Minzheng, director of the administrative committee of the Zone, warmly welcomed the guests, and outlined the Zone's economic development, in particular the construction of the technology transfer center, which the Zone hopes will cooperate with India.

After the meeting, the delegation visited Longrun Group, one of the biggest biological resource developers in China, and the Sunpa Technology Co, leading digital medical equipment manufacturer.
