Kunming zone's epic 3-month battle comes to an end

When the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone lowered the curtain on its "100-day battle", on Nov 4, it announced at a meeting that it had hit all its targets so far, for 2014, in land purchases and new buildings construction and the foreign investment tasks and infrastructure construction were 90 percent complete.

This "100-day battle" began, on July 25, with the purpose of arousing support from all over the Zone to reach the economic and social development goals for the year and avoid any downturns. So, when it ended, the meeting was called to summarize the work over the three-month period and explain the work for the remaining two months, with Guo Song, vice-director of the Zone, describing the development of major projects and the general situation over the hundred-day period.

Wang Minzheng, head of zone administration, praised everyone's effort and affirmed the achievements, saying that it brought the Zone top quality service, efficiency, economic development. In looking ahead, Wang covered the last two months of 2014 and noted that, although the "hundred-day battle" had ended, the zone could not slack off in its work in order to complete its tasks for the full year.

Taking part in the review were representatives of all government departments and institutions in the Zone.
