No 3 Middle School shines in cycling contest

The 2014 Kunming Youth Winter Cycling Contest was held from Nov 6 to 9 at Kunming Sports School. A total of 120 students from primary and secondary schools in Kunming formed eight teams and participated in the competitions. In the end, Kunming Hi-Tech No 3 Middle School won the first prize.

The contest contained 22 competitions in track cycling, road cycling and mountain cycling, where competitors from Hi-Tech No 3 Middle School took the crown in 13 competitions. The school was awarded the title of “Best Team” with the highest total score of 192.

Kunming Hi-Tech No 3 Middle School has been working on comprehensive student development. In particular, it pays great attention to physical fitness and regards cycling as one of its unique education programs. “We encourage students to take part in sports activities more often to cultivate their sense of competition and cooperation, and make them brave and strong,” said a director of the school.
