The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone led a delegation formed by representatives from 16 of its biotech companies to participate in the 10th Pan Asia International Agriculture Exhibition on Nov 15, and showed their achievements in high-efficiency agriculture.

The leader of the delegation, the director of the investment promotion bureau in the Zone, explained that the 16 selected enterprises stood out because of their advanced technologies, unique product features and good development prospects. Among them, for example, was Yunnan Bioeast Biotechnology Co, whose products such as perfumes and essence were combinations of Yunnan’s natural resources, local ethnic features and high technologies.

The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone wanted to take the opportunity of the Exhibition to enhance cooperation and trade with South and Southeast Asia.

The 10th Pan Asia International Agriculture Exhibition opened in Kunming on Nov 15 for five days. The theme of the Exhibition this year was “Strengthen the Manor Economy, Promote Plateau-Characteristic Agriculture”. More than 2,300 booths were set up in the Exhibition and more than 400 exhibitors from all over the world were present.
