Kunming's coffee enterprise makes contributions in Laos

Yunnan Changshengda Investment Company was recently praised as an “outstanding enterprise” by Phongsali provincial government in Laos because of its contribution to local drug controls.

Bao Li, director of the Phongsali Narcotics Control Commission awarded the prize to the president of the company, Yin Xinhua, and expressed gratitude on behalf of the province for Changshengda’s outstanding performance in opium substitution in Laos.

At present, six opium substitution planting enterprises are working in 247 villages in Phongsali. Among them, 126 villages are in charge of Changshengda and they are planting coffee over 120 million square meters. The company has directly driven the local economy and more than 6,000 peasant households have been lifted out of poverty and become better off.
