The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone organized 16 newly-appointed directors of the communities’ administrative committees within the Zone to take part in manual labor on Nov 25 in Chadian county in Chuxiong Yi autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province.

The 16 cadres pulled weeds and dredged irrigation canals and ditches in the villages. They borrowed tools from local villagers and carefully did the cleaning . After one day’s hard work, the roads and ditches covered with weeds and waste were tidy and clear.

When local residents in the county spoke highly of the cadres’ work, the 16 Party members were delighted. They said that they would participate in similar activities more often, and would learn more about villagers’ needs in order to better serve them.
