The “Coca Cola 520” training activities were brought to 13 communities in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone to teach women there how to start their own businesses. The federation of trade unions and the women’s federation supported the enterprises to carry on their training.

About 250 women in the Zone took part in the training activities. They attended several lectures on preparatory works, operations and management, and later scale-up procedures when starting a new business. In addition, some directors of leading enterprises shared their experiences with the local women.

The “Coca Cola 520” is a public welfare program initiated by Coca Cola Beverage Co, aimed at helping 5 million women from all around the world start their own business by 2020. The program provides women with sales skills training, financial services, financial aids and professional instructor support.
