The Yunnan Youth Investors and Youth Entrepreneurs' Summit took place on Dec 27 in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone. More than 300 young entrepreneurs and representatives of chambers of commerce exchanged their views under the theme of "New Yunnan in the Internet Finance Era".

The summit aimed to find a way for a local industrial restructuring by studying the development of the internet finance and derivative innovative industries. The attendees reached an agreement that a new showcase and capital channels for local promising projects would boost economic development in Yunnan.

Wang Minzheng, director of the administrative committee of the Zone, said at the meeting that the internet operating mode and the pluralism of the capital market brings Yunnan opportunities and challenges. In particular, young investors and entrepreneurs are playing a significant role in this era. He encouraged young people to make full use of the resources and enhance innovation and promised that the Zone would support them with efforts if needed.

Representatives of some companies with influence gave presentations about their products and projects at the meeting, shared their entrepreneurial experience with the attendees and held discussions on how to adapt to social and economic changes. In particular, the crowdfunding, a way of raising funds from a large number of people via the internet, heated the discussions.

The Pan-Asian Youth Investors and Youth Entrepreneurs Club was founded at the summit. Also announced was the official start of a selection of "the most rewarding projects in 2015".
