The 2015 Spring Festival holiday ended on Feb 24. During the seven-day holiday, Kunming Changshui International Airport has seen about 740,000 trips being made through the airport, xinhuanet.com reported.

Statistics show that nearly 5,700 airplanes have departed and arrived at the Kunming airport during the holiday, a 7.9 percent increase compared with the same period last year.

To meet the heavy demand during the annual travel frenzy, the airport added additional 191 flights to its usual schedule. Meanwhile, the authority strengthened flight safety and ground service quality to ensure a safe and comfortable return journey for passengers.
