The 2015 China International Electronic Commerce Expo opened in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, April 11. A delegation from the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone in Yunnan province attended the expo.

The expo is the largest national e-commerce show. It is initiated by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Zhejiang’s government and sponsored by the China International Electronic Commerce Center. More than 1,000 enterprises around China took part in the expo.

E-commerce development was discussed widely during various meetings, talks and conferences during the three-day event. Entrepreneurs and experts exchanged ideas about how to expand e-commerce activities, including through online shopping, TV shopping channels and mobile shopping.

The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, as one of the national e-commerce demonstration zones, was also invited to the expo. E-commerce representatives based in the Zone and officials from the local electronic commerce management office and administrative committee participated in discussions and conferences.

Among the participating enterprises from the Zone are Yunnan Sadeke Technology Co, an online-to-offline local special products retailer, Yunnan Mingdian Cultural Communication Co, who owns a trading website for cucurbit flutes, a unique instrument from Yunnan province and Yunnan Wuse Tubao Art Culture Co, a trading website for Chinese purple ceramics.
