Kunming Hi-Tech Zone embraces more international personnel

The 13th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) ran in Shenzhen, a coastal city in Guangdong province, April 18-19. The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone was represented by a delegation at the event, which is one of China’s main international forums that seek to facilitate employment of foreign experts for Chinese enterprises. It explores ways to promote cooperation between the talented overseas personnel and high-tech development zones in China.

More than 900 experts, nearly 60 percent of whom hold PhD degrees or post-docs, from more than 20 countries and regions gathered in Shenzhen to seek job opportunities and gather information on hundreds innovation projects that Chinese enterprises and institutions carry out.
The group from Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, led by Zhao Hongguo, vice director of the Zone’s bureau of economic development and investment promotion, paid visits to exhibition hall stands, holding extensive talks with officials and foreign experts. During the talks, the Kunming High-Tech Zone delegation placed emphasis on the importance of business incubators for Chinese students studying abroad, technology and human resources sharing platforms for overseas experts and introduction of foreign talents to the 3D printing industry.
