More than 400 people in Yunnan’s Kunming Hi-Tech Zone took part in a “color run”, a five-kilometer race, during which runners were pelted with colored powder on May 6.
The participants wore white T-shirts and got sprinkled by different colored powder when running through five stations along the racing track. At the finishing line, there was another “color fight” where runners hurled powder at each other. All finished the race with colored faces and clothes.
The race was organized by the Youth League Working Committee of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone. Among the participants in the run were government officials, entrepreneurs, employees and students of the Zone.
The “color run” is also known as the “Happiest 5km on the Planet”. It was first launched in 2011 as a worldwide celebration of happiness, healthiness and individuality.
