Sino-Platinum Metals Co, based in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone opened its laboratory to public on May 20 to showcase its new technologies on multipurpose utilization of rare and precious metals.

More than 30 guests were invited from the administrative committee of the Zone as well as local enterprises, hospitals, schools, banks and communities to visit the laboratory. Researchers briefed the visitors about the advanced equipment and their working process and operating principles.

Sino-Platinum Metals Co is one of the leading precious metals producers in the world. It owns a strong scientific research team led by the academicians at the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The company masters core technologies on functional materials and holds 25 invention patents.

The company's main products include automobile emission purification catalyst, catalyst for fine chemical products, high concentrated organic wastewater purification catalyst, semiconductor gas sensors, precious metallic compounds, precious metallic welding materials, precious metallic thermocouple materials, and special precious metallic powder.
