The Kunming Hi-Tech No 1 Kindergarten organized a special children’s “career day” in a career-themed museum on May 28 to mark the Children’s Day. More than 340 children took part in the activity.
The kids visited nearly 40 career halls, such as earthquake research center, broadcasting and television station, hospital, police station, fire station, aeronautics and space administration and pastry shop, where they experienced daily workings of those professions.

Led by the curators of the museum, kids from the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone learned how to deal with emergencies such as earthquake and fire, but also gave it a try to make cookies, chocolate and drinks by themselves.
The activity aimed at exposing kids to various careers, intended to broaden their minds to a bigger world that they may not normally see and inspire their dreams, according to a teacher of the Kunming Hi-Tech No 1 Kindergarten.
