A delegation from the standing committees of the provincial and city people’s congress visited Lancang county recently to check in on the establishment of regulations for the Jingmai Mountain area.
Li Mei, deputy director of the standing committee at the county people’s congress, briefed the importance and progress of the regulation to the delegation at a seminar.
The delegation members and other participants at the seminar discussed the applicability and feasibility of the regulation and modified part of it.
The delegation said the draft regulation was generally well-made, but suggested further amendment to improve feasibility. They also called for promotion of tea culture and local ethnic groups and villages.
Li Zhengchang, deputy Party chief of the county and director of the county government, said that the regulation will help pass down and protect local tea culture and villages, and will promote local economic growth by increasing the fame of Jingmai Mountain.Copyright ©2014 City of Pu'er, Yunnan Province, China.
