Qian Dewei, mayor of Pu’er city arrived at the earthquake-stricken area in Jinggu county on December 9, to visit earthquake-affected people and inspect and guide the relief reconstruction work.
Qian Dewei stressed that the current relief work in Jinggu has entered a critical stage of recovery and reconstruction. Officials at all levels must make every effort to carry out resume reconstruction work. They must ensure the basic livelihood of people in disaster areas.
What’s more, they should strengthen communication and coordination to solve the practical difficulties and meet the needs of people in disaster areas. Qain also said that it’s curial to ensure the relief funds and materials to be distributed in place without delay.
Zhang Shanqiang, vice mayor of Pu’er and Hu Jianrong, vice chairman of Pu’er municipal CPPCC accompanied Qian’s visit.
