Resplendent autumn of Zhouzhuang

As October comes, fall quietly descends in all its colors in Zhouzhuang, a famous water town in Kunshan, Jiangsu province.

There is a breath of autumn in the air as the cool breeze starts the early day. The drizzle falls against golden gingko leaves, breaking the morning calm of the old town. Osmanthus blossoms give off a rich fragrance, with chrysanthemums in luxuriant bloom to remark the coming of a golden season.

The weather is perfect in the afternoon as rosy clouds disappear after the rain. The blue sky seems as if it is linked with the river far away. A warm glow of sunshine floods the old street, where small groups of people wander on a lunch break.
