Turnip cake(luobosibing)

Originating in Jiangsu province, turnip cake is very popular around Suzhou, Wuxi and Jiangyin. Recipes can vary from place to place, but it always contains turnip in one way or another. It is usually eaten as a breakfast snack.

Douhua (tofu pudding)

In northern China, douhua is often eaten with soy sauce, thus resulting in a savory flavor, while in the southern part of China, it is served with sweet toppings including cooked peanuts and adzuki beans. Visitors to Zhouzhuang are able to try both of them.
