(chinadaily.com.cn)

Seven miles outside the center of Zhouzhuang, Qi village is the perfect place for visitors looking to savor the pleasures of a sedate rural lifestyle.

The village offers enchanting scenery, excellent accommodation and catering options, and even the opportunity to immerse in reading.

The bookstore, which also functions as an archives there, is an ideal place to leaf through books and gain more knowledge concerning the village's profound history that dates back to the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280).

It is recorded that the village's current name is in memorial of General Han Shizhong, a renowned general in South Song Dynasty (13th century).

In 2017, Qi village was designed one of the top ten rural tourism destinations in China.
