Moscow Cat Theatre, which bills itself as "the only cat theatre in the world," reopened after a year of renovation, the Daily Mail of London reported. Hundreds of locals went there to see the first performance of cats, which walk a tightrope, wobble on a rocking horse and pose on top of a ball. Some 120 felines make up the Moscow Cat Theatre, which was founded in 1990 by Yuri Kuklachev, a legendary animal trainer and clown. However, Yuri has drawn criticism over his theatre from US animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
据英国《每日邮报》报道，莫斯科猫剧院自诩为"世界上唯一的猫剧院"，它在经过一年的整修后日前重新开业。当天，当地数百名观众前往捧场观看"喵星人"的首场演出，猫咪们有走钢丝的，有骑木马的，有在圆球上摆各种姿势的。据悉，该剧院成立于1990年，目前大约有120只猫咪演员。创始人Yuri Kuklachev是一个传奇驯兽师兼小丑表演家，不过，他因创办了这个猫咪剧院而受到了美国动物权利保护组织、善待动物协会的谴责。
