Caxirola: new World Cup sound
新世界杯助威神器来袭
Remember the Vuvuzela during the 2010 FIFA World Cup? Fast forward 4 years, Caxirola, another China-made product, has taken its place and became the official musical instrument at FIFA World Cup 2014, Chinese media reported. The rattle has a vivid green or yellow outer covering, which encases a small plastic keg(小桶) with ball bearings inside. When shaken, it emits a rhythmic sound. As soon as it was released last October, millions of rattles(摇响器) had already been manufactured at Chinese Yiwu factories. It's reported that about 90% of Caxirolas in the world are produced in Zhejiang and Guangdong.(See photo)
还记得2010年世界杯期间的"呜呜祖拉"吗？据中国媒体报道，时隔4年，另外一种中国制造的乐器"卡西罗拉"已接棒"呜呜祖拉"，成为2014年世界杯的官方助威神器。"卡西罗拉"有艳绿或明黄的外壳，外壳下面包着小的塑料桶，桶内装有许多滚珠，摇晃时能发出有节奏的声响。自去年10月推出后，中国义乌的工厂已生产数百万件"卡西罗拉"。据报道，目前世界上约90%的"卡西罗拉"产自浙江和广东。(见图)
