Xiaomi unveils tough, smart body scale

Chinese gadget maker Xiaomi Corp has unveiled a body fat scale called Mi Smart Scale 2 under its sub-brand Mi Ecosystem. Priced 199 yuan ($29), the 14.75mm-thin scale made of ABS material has an LED numerical display, and offers better impact resistance and durability. It can analyze 10 types of data, including body weight, body mass and muscle mass.

Asus launches surround-sound headset

Taiwan-based Asustek Computer Inc has launched ROG Centurion, a surround-sound headset for video games, in China. With 10 discrete drivers, a noise-canceling digital microphone and a high-fidelity amplifier, the gadget can deliver realistic sound, enabling a more vivid game environment for players. The giant ear cups, which come with two choices (leather and fabric), can fully encompass the ear, filtering out external sound. Priced 1,699 yuan ($246), it is currently available on JD.com, an online marketplace.

Samsung Tab offers cinema-like experience

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd unveiled its Galaxy Tab S3 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The tablet takes mobile entertainment to the next level by providing a cinema-like experience with 4K video playback and a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display. It features Harman's quad-stereo speakers. As Amazon is its content partner, users receive instant access to high-definition videos.

Matrice 200 drone makes surveys easy

Shenzhen-based DJI Innovation Technology Co, the world leader in unmanned aerial technology, unveiled the new Matrice 200 drone series purpose-built for professional users to per-form aerial inspections and collect data. It is compatible with DJI's powerful X4S and X5S cameras, as well as the high-powered Z30 zoom camera and the XT camera for thermal imaging. With a dual battery set-up, the M200 platform can fly for up to 35 minutes with amounted camera.
