Advisers seek better storytelling

China's political advisers on Tuesday discussed ways to tell Chinese stories better to promote Chinese culture. Members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee said during a consultation session that China should be confident about its culture as it tells its stories to the world. Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the session.

Banking official probed for graft

 

A senior official at China's bank regulator is being investigated for suspected disciplinary violations, the country's top anti-graft body said on Tuesday. Yang Jiacai, the assistant chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, is suspected of serious violations of discipline, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said.

Senior legislator is investigated

 

Wei Minzhou, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Congress, is under investigation for severely violating Party discipline, the country's top anti-graft watchdog said on Monday. Wei, 61, transferred to his current post in January, according to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
