International org. praises Beijing to cut Olympic corruption

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) has been praised by an international anti-corruption organization for establishing a committee to supervise Games construction projects.
An official from Transparency International, an anti-corruption organization, hailed the new BOCOG procedures to select companies for the construction projects as "very impressive", according to Outlook Weekly magazine.
In deciding which company will be awarded a Olympic project construction contract, the committee will randomly select several experts by computer from its pool of experts, the article said.
In addition, all the accounts relating to Olympic projects will be examined twice a week, the article said.
