Tokyo to bid for 2011 gymnastics world championship

The Japanese capital of Tokyo will bid for hosting the 2011 world gymnastics championships, Japan Gymnastic Association said on Wednesday.
Running in the bid for the gym championship are Prague and Moscow. The Federation of International Gymnastic is to make a choice at its meeting slated for later this month in the United States.
Japan hosted the top gym event in Fukui Prefecture in 1995.
Tokyo was recently chosen by the Japanese Olympic Committee to run for the bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.
