Vieira/Vivian claims champion, Yue/Zhang runner-up

The final of the 2007 FIVB Beach Volleyball Women's Challenger was staged on the morning of August 19. As a result, the Brazilian pair Angela Vieira/Danielle Vivian took the crown without even a defeat from the preliminary round after a victory over the Chinese pair Yue Yuan/Zhang Wenwen 2-0 with the scores of 21-15 and 23-21.
Due to fatigue from continuous competition, the Chinese pair made a lot of errors and was deficient in passion and vitality in the first set. Soon, they trailed 3-8, then the Brazilian pair pushed them hard by their strong counterattack, who soon extended the lead to 13-7 and 19-13. Despite narrowing the gap a bit, the Chinese pair lost the first set 21-15 due to the great score margin.
At the beginning of the second set, the Chinese pair intensified their service and back-area cover for the purpose of turning the tide, Yue also served her first ace. They took the lead by 8-6 soon after the beginning and then got into a seesaw with the Brazilian pair, the change in attack strategy put the Chinese pair to a lead by 18-14. After that, the score came to 20-17, the Brazilian pair served four straight aces and outscored 21-20 under the circumstances that the Chinese pair held three set points, and subsequently scored two points by attack and service so as to win the set 23-21. Eventually, the Brazilian pair won the match.
