China's National Stadium, nicknamed the "Bird's Nest", started recruiting volunteers last Friday for next year's test games.

All of the 4,029 volunteers for three "Good Luck Beijing" series test competitions will be students from Peking University and Central University of Nationalities.

The IAAF Race Walking Challenge and Beijing Marathon Race are scheduled in April 2008, while the China Athletic Open will be held in late May in the stadium, where the opening ceremony for the 2008 Beijing Olympics will be held.

Before the end of the year, applicants will go through several interviews and some of them will have the privilege of working in the landmark building.
