The back-up Chinese men team is good enough to repeat what China have achieved at the Stuttgart gymnastics worlds in team qualifications Wednesday at the Olympic test.

China led the men's team qualifications with 363.625 points, 2.075 ahead of runners-up Japan, who is the silver medallists at the Stuttgart worlds.

Full-strength South Korea was third in 361.350 out of the qualifications, which picks top four scores in each apparatus.

Led by reigning world all-around silver medallist and world horizontal bar champion Fabian Hambuechen, world bronze medallists Germany locked the fourth place 3.850 points adrift of South Korea.

China rested all the world men's team winners, instead to dispatch a less-experienced squad consisting of Lu Bin, Feng Zhe, Guo Weiyang, Yan Mingyong, Lv Bo and Liang Mingsheng in the Olympic trial, the Beijing Gymnastics International Invitational.

Five of the six gymnasts are between 20 and 22 years of age. Along with 28-year-old Lu Bin. None of the six competing here has Olympic or World Championships experience, but like the national team in Stuttgart, they are just in a higher level of their own.

China was ranked first in three disciplines out of six, namely vault (64.750), rings (63.950) and parallel bars (61.700).
