Beijing Olympics organizers will set up 26 cultural squares across the city's 18 districts.
The Olympic cultural square activities will last for three months, from June 23 on Olympic Day to the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games.
Sports fans can visit them free of charge.
BOCOG and the representatives from the 18 districts signed a Memorandum of Understanding Tuesday.
Similar squares will also be set up in the six Olympics co-host cities.
Big screens will be built at each of the squares to relay live broadcasts of the Olympic Games, and various performances and exhibitions. Visitors will also be able to enjoy Olympic-themed souvenir exchanges at the squares.
