The Chinese version song, “A Long Journey”, was composed by Jay Chou and his long-time collaboratorVincentFang, who are both famous musicians from Taiwan and it is sung by Chou himself.The song was written for the fourth round of Olympic song solicitations.
Jay Chou is also well-known as a pianist. However, this time, he used the electric guitars instead of just piano. He stated his reason: “I think the feeling of the electric guitars is a little stronger than just using the piano. If listeners from Europe and America hear this kind of music, I hope it can make them jump back a little!”
