BEIJING -- The final stage of an Olympic women's wrestling qualifying tournament ended in Haparanda, Sweden, in the evening of June 1.

A total of eight athletes came out as qualifiers for the 2008 Games through this tournament. The top two wrestlers in each of the weight classes, 48kg, 55kg, 63kg, and 72kg, have earned their spots in Beijing.

On May 31, with the conclusion of the 48kg and 63kg competitions, four athletes qualified for the Beijing Games: 48kg champion Tatyana Bakatyuk of Kazakhstan, runner-up Estera Dobre of Romania, 63kg champion Elina Vaseva of Bulgaria and runner-up Marianna Sastin of Hungary.

On Sunday, the last day of the tournament, the rest of the qualifying athletes were determined. 55kg champion Ana Maria Paval of Romania will be joined in Beijing by second place winner Najdan Otgonjargal of Mongolia, 72kg champion Amarachi Obiajunwa of Nigeria and 72kg runner-up Audrey Prieto Bokhashvili of France.

The Chinese female wrestling team has already filled the country quota for the Olympics through the 2007 International Tournament and 2008 Asian Championships, thus there were no Chinese athletes participating in this qualifying event.
