The song, "Legend of the Flame," is composed by Emil Chau Wakin, a popular Taiwanese singer and songwriter, with the lyrics penned by Olympic sponsor Lenovo group.
The piece was chosen as one of the 30 official Olympic songs on April 30, 2008, 100 days before the opening of the Beijing Games.
In the music video, Olympic torch bearer Jin Jing, who protected the Olympic torch from protestors in Paris, and Chinese pop duo Yu Quan teamed up with Chau to pay a tribute to the Olympic flame.
Chau also composed the Olympic song "I am a star" to salute the Olympic volunteers.
