The IOC decided at a meeting on Friday to exclude Kim from the Beijing Olympic Games, said IOC press director Giselle Davies.
Kim's bronze in men's 10-meter air pistol final now goes to Jason Turner from the United States, who previously ranked fourth, she said.
China's Tan Zhongliang now takes silver in men's 50-meter pistol final and the bronze goes to Vladimir Isakov, said Davies.
Vietnamese gymnast Do Thi Ngan Thuong has also failed a doping test. The gymnast ranked 59th with 52.100 points in individual all-around in women's qualification on August 10.
Spanish cyclist Maria Isabel Moreno became the first athlete to test positive at the Beijing Games on Monday.
