PARIS - The Olympic flame has been lighted up again on Monday after being extinguished by Paris security officials for a short while for safety reasons, and the torch relay has been resumed as originally planned.

Police has arrested at least four protesters who tried to interrupt the torch relay.

The Beijing Olympic torch relay takes place on Monday in Paris, the fifth leg of its global tour. The Paris leg relay will follow a 28 kilometers route which begins at Eiffel Tower and ends at Stade Charlety in the south of Paris.
