Girls need to be understood
(China Daily)

It's understandable for college girls to want to marry a man instead of battling their way through a tight job market, says an article in Wuhan Evening Post. Following is an excerpt: The financial crisis has created a new type of college girl who attends a job fair in the morning and rushes to a blind date in the afternoon, hoping to ease the pressure of finding a job by first marrying a wealthy man. Those men with solid economic foundations and stable incomes are their first choice. Some have condemned these girls as vulgar and pessimistic. But in the current hotly contested job market, they have their reasons. Marrying a man doesn't mean they will not have to work. As contemporary college students, they usually prefer working to staying home. But even when some girls really want to marry and stay home, we shouldn't point the finger of blame at them, for in others counties, it's not unusual for women to abandon working opportunities to take care of children and house chores at home while their husbands work. This model may even boost social development if the division of tasks between men and women is unforced and the two sides respect the other's choice. So, we'd rather tolerate these girls' desire to marry a successful man than let them dwell on a gloomy future in the current job market.
